Board Meeting Agenda

Here's a typical board meeting agenda sample. Take a look and see if you can utilize it when preparing your own association's meetings.

 

1.  Apertion of the meeting

  • Chairman of the board of directors or vice chairman announces the meeting commenced. This is always the first part of a board meeting agenda.

 

2. Chairman of the board is in charge of board meetings and secretary serves as secretary for the meeting.

  • This custom is common in member and monthly meetings also, but there other chairman and secretary for the meeting can also be elected.

 

3. Condoning the legality and quorum of the meeting

  • Member meetings aren't necessarily mentioned in association's rules

 

4. Accepting the board meeting agenda

  • In board meetings these are issues prepared by chairman and secretary
  • In member meeting issues prepared by the board

 

7. Other issues, which have been brought up

  • Issues brought up by board members
  • In member meetings these can also be issues suggested by members for decision or preparation for the next meeting

 

8. Decision about next meeting

  • This is a good practice particularly when concerning a board meeting, if there hasn't been an agreement about a regular/repetitive meeting.
  • This is recommended also in member meetings.

 

9. Termination of the meeting

  • Time is marked down
